KTMG, known as Karachi Timber Merchant Group was established in 1938, KTMG is the group of all the different entities who are involved in wood and wood related business specially in Karachi, the sole aim and objective to established KTMG was to bring all its members under one roof in the form of Group and works together for the betterment and improvement of all its members business, KTMG was established even before the time of independence of Pakistan and its passes through tremendous hard time of 70 years ,just after the formation of KTMG it was observed that there should be a committee formed which was selected by its members for the tenure of 2 years and such committee was formed by the name of “ KTMG Managing Committee” , who works under the guidance and leadership of its president and Hony.General Secretary since 1938 Managing Committee has 8 presidents and 13 Hony.General Secreory , among the president Mr.Sodagar M.darvesh has the longest tenure who serve 24 years and among Hony .General Secretaries Mr.Mansoor E. Lakdawala has the longest tenure of 16 years , the president and Hony. General Secretary choose the best from its selected members to serve the members of KTMG in different aspects of business, the president, hony general secretory along with the selected members of managing committee works with great zeal and passion and serve its members the best they can. |

Activities like import, external export, buying, selling, customize cutting of wood and its bi products, loading and unloading, transportation of different wood and its wood products are the daily activities of KTMG members, general customers from Karachi as well as wood related business customers from Karachi and Pakistan come daily to Karachi Timber Market and buy the goods according to there need and requirements, it is the hub of all wood related business commercial a ctivities who engaged vast number of people with it like transporters, clearing agents, labours and brokers along with its more then 250 members . |
